Burgess Hill Breakfast & After School Club

Poveys Close, England, RH15 9TA.

We operate high quality, fun-filled Term Time Breakfast and After School Clubs from Burgess Hill Rugby Club.

Breakfast Club and After School Club are available for pupils attending The Gattons Infant School and Southway Junior School.

Our friendly team drop off at school and collect the children at the end of the school day, travelling to/from Burgess Hill Rugby Club via ‘walking bus’.

Children walk in pairs and wear florescent jackets. The staff ratio is 1 adult to every 6 children, to ensure their safety on the short walk.

Children benefit from a safe and sociable environment, helping them settle quickly at club and into their chosen activity.

We use the main Rugby Club building to house the before and after school clubs.

The dedicated space allows us to lead large or smaller group sessions, whatever the weather.

All the children eat together sociably.

The children enjoy the fantastic outdoor playground and large field, where we’re able to operate our supervised games and activities, promoting collaboration, teamwork, and fun!

Meet The Burgess Hill Club Manager

Sorrell

Club Manager

Hello, my name is Sorrell and I am the Club Manager at our Burgess Hill Breakfast and Afterschool Club.

I joined Pioneer Childcare in March 2017. I started working as a Kitchen Porter while still at secondary school. Before I became the Club Manager, I worked at the Ablemarle Centre as an Art Leader.

During my time at Pioneer Childcare I’ve completed training in First Aid, Food Hygiene, Safeguarding, Prevent Duty and FGM.

My favourite activity to run at club would be arts & crafts, because I enjoy seeing the children use their imaginations and create something they are proud of.

If you would like to discuss anything club-related, please call 07842207125 during club opening hours, and I will be happy to talk to you.

“Experienced leaders are passionate about providing high-quality care for children. They work closely with school teachers and parents to help ensure that children's needs are well known. Staff work well together to ensure children feel safe and settled when attending the club. This contributes to children feeling secure and supports their emotional well-being."

Maura Pigram, Inspector

"Children enjoy a variety of fun activities to support their learning when they are at school. Staff ensure that these are linked to children's interests and help children to persevere with tasks. This helps to support their concentration skills."
